The Pomeranian Voivodeship will be off from February 1 to 14, 2027 — the same dates as Mazovia, Świętokrzyskie, and Lublin. Centrum Nauki Experyment in Gdynia operates similarly—hands-on experiments, not just viewing. You can reach it via the Szybka Kolej Miejska (SKM) to Gdynia Redłowo station, then a six-minute walk or a direct bus right to the door—the stop is called “Centrum Nauki Experyment.” This is a natural way to combine indoor attractions with a full-day trip to Gdynia, more details below.

Museum of the Second World War deserves a special note: while there’s no formal age restriction for the main exhibition, the museum recommends it only from around 12 years old—some displays show graphic images of war. Gdańsk Zoo operates daily in winter but on a different schedule than summer—ticket offices are open only until 14:00, and you can explore the grounds until 15:00, making it an early afternoon attraction, not a full-day one. An alternative, especially for older children interested in history, is Malbork and the world’s largest brick castle—trains from Gdańsk Główny take about 30–50 minutes depending on connections.
